Alistair Goodwin Band

alt

Since first picking up a guitar at the age of three the instrument has held a lifelong fascination for Alistair. His love of acoustic music has led him to play with an extremely wide range of musicians from street performers to the classically trained

Described as gutsy driven acoustic roots, Alistair's live performances blend melody, rhythm and vocal talent into a heartfelt and heady brew

Recent performances include radio exposure on the South Coast's Spirit FM, live interviews and performances on the BBC's Radio Solent and for Portsmouth and Southampton Television. His frequent live performances at venues across London and the south coast of England continue to build an impressively awed and loyal following in his musical wake

Alistair Goodwin - (Guitar, Vocal)
Nigel Rippon - (Cello)
Age Gould - (Cajon)
Nigel Davies-Patrick - (Bass)

"Fantastic..! Check out the website, get the dates and go and see them...they're a cracking act." ~ John Cuthill, BBC Radio

"If you like the easy appeal of David Gray, the harmonies of Turin Brakes, the intrigue of Jeff Buckley or the haunting depths of Tom McRae, then the idea of combining these with the infinitely re-visitable melodies of early Counting Crows and rooting them firmly in a foundation of Nick Drake and Joni Mitchell is likely to appeal to you." ~ GigBase Magazine

"Alistair has a unique and wholly original talent. His live performances are creating a serious stir in the music scene and generating a dedicated following wherever and whenever he performs. His exceptional gift has attracted the collaboration of some of the finest up and coming musicians to create a sound that is extraordinarily rounded and full. There is little doubt that he is destined for greater things." ~ MusicEye Magazine
