Unfortunately this gig has had to be postponed because of a double-booking error - we hope to be able to reschedule it soon! Troyka formed as a trio of harmonica, clarinet and guitar in 2008 and have been bringing Balkan Heart Music to Bristol and beyond ever since – a stormy mixture of traditional and original songs and rhythms from the former Yugoslavia and the Balkans with brushes of Klezmer and the Middle East. Now with a new line up, they continue to created their own unique sound-world, colliding fast and furious Balkan, Eastern European and Mid Eastern rhythms with haunting vocal melodies and Troyka and Fuzia traditions, with love and respect for our history, and for our founder member and friend, Vladimir Gajic (1971-2016), who is with us in all we play. Your heart will be kept warm and your toes tapping by soaring clarinet, rich violin and rhythm-hopping guitar, all held together by infectious double bass and percussion. Troyka are:
