New 7 piece Bristol based band ''Tezeta'' play music inspired by the Ethiopian golden age of the 60''s and 70''s.
Tezeta'' (Ethiopian for Nostalgia) play a combination of their own material and the compositions of Mulatu Astatke (and similar artists), combining Ethiopian harmony with Afro-beat, jazz and funk.
The band consists of a versatile collective of musicians from the Bristol scene, with members from Count Bobo, The Evil Usses, Rae, bert miller and the animal folk, The Jester, Zun Zun Egui, Beth Porter and the Availables, Babyhead, Uncle Ecstasy, International Jazz Disaster, Cloudshoes, The Brackish, Mission Mahavishnu, Schoolboy''s Death Trio, Edenhieght and many more...
